HMS Humber at the end of the war. Gun trials showed a structural weakness at the break of the forecastle which required reinforcement. Her howitzers were replaced by a single 6"Mk.VII. A elevated 3pdr AA was fitted in lieu of the searchlight platform and the topmast was taken down.

Great work on very interesting topic.

Excellent work on all these monitors, kinda makes me feel like drawing up an idea I had for a similar vessel in my own AU.

HMS Severn in 1915. Severn’s and Mersey's gun barrels wore out quickly, being fired extensively in operations along the Belgian coast. Lacking spares for the Vickers guns; the turrets were replaced by a single 6"Mk.VII mounting. A gun of the same design replaced the two howitzers aft.

It was in this guise that Severn and Mersey were towed to German East Africa with orders to destroy the cruiser SMS Königsberg, entrenched in the Rufiji Delta.
