I have this and I do not like it (not enough specific/accurate details for me)
I have all US American Side-Line-Drawings (1770's to 2010's...).
That's not from the Booklet of General Plans though. ;)

Take a look here: http://www.hnsa.org/doc/plans/

They are quite useful because they show all views and also show detailed fittings with good labelling.

That said I wouldn't mind seeing all your references for the Alaskas (can you PM to me?)

Just an update...

I am starting with the reference BrockPaine posted (Thank you all greatly for the images!). I have decided to start back at square one, and right now, I'm about half-way across it. I may, however, keep my first attempt for AU usage since it would bug me to just recycle-bin several hours worth of work.

Edit: Quick question...Degaussing cable...use the same color as the Aerials and the railings?

Just an update:

Still working on the ship, although several drafts have been...well...unsatisfactory. Still working though

Don't fret over how long it takes to draw a ship well. Richelieu was a six month project with a restart. And it's the one piece I'm most proud of.
