Here's another drawing that I finished off of what is perhaps the most important class of vessels in the entire SRN, the Brusilov class icebreakers;



Commissioned in 1940, the Brusilov class was perhaps the longest serving and hardest working of all of Sieranian vessels, continuing in service until the 1970s. Slow but powerful, the vessels were built with incredibly solid hulls to allow them to withstand the crushing forces of heavy ice. Although officially naval vessels, the ships were in fact crewed by civilians with the only true naval personal aboard being the gunners. This endeared the vessels to being of the 'Peoples Navy' and garnered much public support.

Designed with two single mounts of the ubiquitous 120mm gun found on almost all vessels built after 1920, the ships were redesigned to use the aft mounts former position to fit a quad 2pdr, these later being swapped out for 40mm cannons in 1944.
The signature equipment of the Brusilovs were their triple steam winches, enabling them to haul even the most steadfast vessels as required by their role.

Given they were sturdily built with good endurance, the class was often used as rescue vessels. Countless ships and men were rescued by Brusilovs in the Bering and Arctic seas throughout their careers, on each occasion making their crews national heroes.

As Sierans largest icebreakers until the 1950s, the Brusilovs played a vital role in the nations maritime duties and were perhaps the most loved and supported vessels by the populace.

Agreed, an interesting vessel. I think the including of these "Misc" vessels are one of the strongest sides of Seiran.

EDIT: Btw, no top view for the destroyer?

Thanks all. Trying to draw something a little different here, I'll let you guys know what it is when its ready.

As for the credit Jabba, your destroyer was a reference for the Veters however here I reworked it a fair bit from the original whilst trying to keep a similar look. The stem and stern are about the only sections I directly copied from the Veters. If credit is needed I can easily edited however I wasn't sure in this case what the right amount is.

Sleek and deadly-looking, but she appears to be a bit topheavy...

I wonder if any destroyer from the period could be considered stable by modern standards!

In all my research, so frequently you read about ships like these almost capsizing in rough seas due to their unsteadiness and light builds. They were built for the highest achievable speed and were considered by most navies as expendable, none of which promotes the idea of a steady ship.

These would have the problem amplified by their heavy guns however I would think it to be in allowable limits for the time period.
