Brilliant mate I have an interest in the R101, as I lived in Bedford for a while, where the huge hangers are still preserved; plus in Cardington cemetery is the grave and memorial to the crew who lost their lives.

Sure; both are still there. One is in good condition as it has been taken over for research: it has a house inside for fire testing. The other was becoming badly maintained for a long time, but the last time LP and I were in Bedford it looked as though it was being repainted. These two hangers were the largest for quite along time - maybe until NASA built the Apollo one; and they can be seen for miles.

The envelope is well done, but there's something off about the engine cars
