Hello everyone!

According to Conway's and Wikipedia, it's the La Galissonière-Class; she was the first ship to be laid down in 1931 and the first to be commissioned on 01/01/1936. Georges Leygues was laid down in 1933 and commissioned in November 1937. The class name likely changed in 1942 after the first two (La Galissonière and Jean de Vienne) were scuttled in Toulon and Georges Leygues became the oldest surviving ship of the class.

You might be right and my impression wrong, my friend! I've checked my copy of the Conways, and it does, indeed, states the class the way you have! I have not consulted any French sources, but your explanation sounds plausible enough.
Anyhow it is, your drawings are simply terrific, so, thank you for your effort!

Excellent drawings of some of the best looking cruisers of the period. Such a shame that looks don't mean everything in warfare otherwise these ships alone could have had a substantial impact xD

Hello again!

Usually, I'm no great fan of FNFL ships, because they look much more austere than their former selves... except this one. Shading was pure hell, though.
