all systems are on parts sheets, spread in the parts sheet discussion. we are working on new ones, but those are not finished yet, so you should search yourself. btw, on your halland class, you should switch the guns for the new drawn ones, which are on the new gun sheet already.

I will post a remodeled Halland in an own topic...

This discussion is about my AU, not the real RSwN or its newer where's.

So what do you think of my CLG contemporary with Albanys and De Zeven Provincien....

I missed this one, so glad you referenced back to it (through all the comments ;) ) Well, certainly impressive, and a handsome design. One thing I'd ask; re the Tartar I though it was a verticle launch from a below decks magazine, and not as you seem to be showing, horizontal as with the Talos. I'd be very interested to know how you've configured that :)

Nice work, especialy Aran Class. But I think that Aran Class should equiped with Sea Dart,Sea Cat etc UK origin weapons (of course made by Saab/Bofors with license and guns of Swedish design.

Well... I was actually thinking of an Seadart (Swedart) upgrade of the Äran in late 1970s, with the booster from the Talos to extend the range of the seadart. Seadart GWS 20 is abit late to fit the original design

I imagine both missiles are loaded horisontal (45 degrees) to their launchers. No VLS systems onboard, they where not omvented until the 1980s.

What we've got here is a failure to communicate. - Cool Hand Luke

When we say vertical magazine with respect to the Mk-11, we mean it's internally similar to the Mk-13, in that the missiles are stored vertically before making it to the launcher arm, like so:

[ img ]

Talos however uses a purely horizontal loading mechanism:

[ img ]

While there were a variety of Terrier launchers (ranging from the vertical loaders on Boston and Canberra to the angled loaders on the Leahy class and Belknap class, to the horizontal loaders on the Kittyhawk Class, Providence Class, and on Long Beach), you haven't depicted a Terrier launcher here. Just for reference, this is what the angled loader looks like:

[ img ]

As an aside, in the past you (Psilander) have stuck a Seadart atop a Talos booster, which is frankly, a bit silly, for reasons of missile size. Talos is HUGE, as shown here:

[ img ]

It would make a lot more sense to stick Sea Dart atop a Terrier booster (which the US actually exported, in opposition to the Talos system, which was USN only).
