Shipbucket

Well, this turned out to be a little more complex than the ships I’ve done before.

This is Fram as she appeared during Friedtjof Nansen attempt to reach the North Pole (1893-1896).

This one looks nice, but it is too cluttered. All those hull lines IMHO detract from this art work, and frankly this is not Shipbucket style per se. Although it must have been a very time consuming process, to make all these hull plates (whether doing them one by one or using some other method), I think it would be best to remove them.
That said I think that, all in all, it is a good start (especially with a sail-ship) into the Real Life here.

Nice work Lurian! Good to see another important ship from the age of sail represented here.
BTW, the hull paneling looks fine IMO, but maybe turn it down a shade on the black areas.
Paneling lines have been used on various other sailing ships in SB.

It's a really nice piece of work! I'm a bit ambivalent regarding the hull paneling lines. I'm agreeing with Novice but on the other hand I like them too. Maybe because I know what work laying in it

And while I appreciate Your effort with panel lines, have to agree with Novice and KimWerner that it's bit of an detailing overkill, though wouldn't insist on their removal.

OK, I’ve reworked the planking to a less obtrusive.

There’s also an additional version displaying how she would appear during the drifting periods of the expedition. Her yardarms and gaffs would be taken down. The deck covered by a canvas. Propeller and rudder would be retracted to avoid damage. A windmill was used to generate power for the electric-arch lamps below deck.

I'll be damned, those bastards were halfway clever.

This is how she looked like during her second expedition. This time Otto Sverdrup, who already captained her on the first voyage, took her to West Greenland and the Canadian Arctic.

Some modification’s where done to the ship. Most notably the area between forecastle and quarterdeck was closed in. The cabin on deck has been removed and there are a some minor changes in the rigging. Fram is on display in the Fram Museum, Oslo – restored to this state – at least close to it.
