(Still...) Currently I'm trying to finish some projects that are WiP's for too long time. ;)

Note the "hump" in front of the centerline engine intake - I would guess that ones with it are Yak-42D, but some photographic evidence seems to contradict it somewhat.

It is Yak-42D.
A suggestion, if you don't mind: I'd translate the organization name as it's not commonly known and is not easy to read anyway :lol:

Thank You very much! I certainly am going to try keep it going. ;) :)

Ok, I just wasn't sure, as I saw several some photographs titled "Yak-42D" and they showed no hump, so I got uncertain if it's error in naming the photos or the hump hides some optional equipment.

But I'm not translating the organization names deliberately. :lol:
Check my drawings either in these threads or my threads about Polish and East German aviation - only exceptions (first partially accidental, second because I wasn't sure of the original name) are Po-2 in Polish Wings and Estonian Airco DH.9 in FD Scale Aircraft 3. :lol:
Actually I was tempted to write a full formal name of that ministry instead of that shorter, common one... ;)

Hey Rhade, your SPAD S.VII is a tad too long according to my sources, and too short to be a S.XIII, so I fixed it, and in doing so, made both. And unless it's okay with you to post them, I will just keep them in my own collection.

Wow, really drives home how much of a bigger brother the Yak-42 is.

Thank You! :)

@Nighthunter
I'm sure that Rhade will be able to give You exact answer about why his S.VII is of that particular length, but it seems that Polish sources (at least those I have access to) often report that these planes had slightly differing lengths (depending on manufacturer and some details, like propeller) - from 6,08m to 6,18m - plane on Rhade's drawing is ca. 6,15m long, so within those limits.

@Klagldsf
Yeah, similar designation, similar configuration, but so much different size. :)
Yak-40 was essentialy Li-2/Il-14 replacement and Yak-42 was to replace Tu-134 and Il-18 (plus An-24).

Indeed my sources say that SPAD's don't have a standard length. Sometimes it is 6,08m or 6,18m, one of source claim that SPAD's with classic propeller have 6,14m or 6,15m and with later models 6,18m. I just pick 6,15m version as the most probably. Also in one of old books about Polish Airforce author said that our SPAD's have 6 and the quarter of metres. It's unusual to use a word "quarter" as unit of length but that was his words. ;)
