Karle, while your Wyomings are very nice, are you sure about the camouflage for 1941 and 1942. I would like Colosseum, who I regard as a USN camo expert of WW2 to offer his opinion.

I'm glad to see someone doing work on these ships and I know how annoying it can be to login and see negative comments, but...

You need to spend more time on these. They are just "not good enough". I just don't feel like any research has gone into these outside of tracing a source line art. There is no demonstrated "understanding" of what is being drawn but rather just someone quickly mass producing drawings. What radar is that above the spotting top on Arkansas 1942? What rangefinders are above the pilot house on Arkansas 1941? What's the equipment on the highest topmasts on Arkansas 1937, 1941, and 1942? I don't know the answer and I don't think you do either. ;)

PLEASE spend more time researching the ship and drawing before you post it. These are at best "alpha" drawings, missing quite a few details and I don't think they live up to the fairly rigorous standard I and others have set for USN World War II drawings.

As for camouflage, I won't even bother commenting on that until the "configuration drawings" (i.e., Shipbucket Standard grey) have been completed. This page is helpful though.

Here is another useful page for radar references.

BB-33 Arkansas

1942 : SRa / SC
1944 : SRa / SK
1945 : SK , SRa
I note that the radar pictured on 1942 Arkansas is none of those, but rather a kitbashed version of the SC-2 radar which is (I am assuming) standing in for the SRa. 1942 Arkansas is also missing the SC radar on the mainmast.

It's the little things. This is what Alvama used to do - trace a ship in 30 minutes and miss all the little details. That might work for other stuff... but after the lengths I go to to ensure accuracy on the other USN WW2 ships... I can't tolerate it when others are too lazy to do this simple research!!!

The rangefinder is the same as the one on the 1942, and all the other WWI-era battleships. What equipment are you talking about? Most of the changes done is not line art, but Pictures.

Unfortunately, I agree with Colo
Karle, holy shit !!! :o :(
Your US 1912-1928's drawings seemed good
And now you do the shit !!! argh!!!!!!!!!!!
A good advice :ugeek:
For US 1941-1945 battleships, will see the details on the "US Holy Bible" website (NAVSOURCE click here), although if you search you will see that from 1941 to 1943, radars/sensors and AA weapons change every...semester !!!

An example. On your 1942 Arkansas drawing, you put a twin 40mm bofor. The problem is that in REAL-LIFE, Arkansas, by 1942, carry only few quadruple 1,1" mount (quadruple 28mm mounts)
Other details for the Arkansas in 1942, by february 1942 with a cage mast forward, and by june 1942 with a tripod mast forward !!!! :? :? :?

Your 1941-1942 drawings lack AA guns/radars details
(and recently I sent to you two dozen of highly detailed US BB 1941-1945 drawings  )

and on the aft tripod mast, "you have a problem"
