I was working in some French Mogador Class destroyers, using Jabba's Le Fantasque design as a basis, when I found Garlicdesign new work. So I stopped my poor efforts immediately. Very beautiful drawings, but I have some remarks about the Hoche Class. All references I found established central triple torpedo mountings for them. Using Henri Le Masson "The French Navy at World War II" book we can found Hoche Class to be bigger than Mogador to carry two twin 100 mm anti aircraft mountings, but your art is superb. Please, keep your good work!
Hello!
Two triple torpedo tube sets along the centerline - that's precisely what I thought before I was supplied with a set of (admittedly very crude) drawings from a french magazine by colombamike which showed a variety of armament variations with or without 100mm flak, but all of them had the torpedoes arranged as on my drawing. Didn't like it - makes the ship less combat capable - but had to accept it. Maybe I try a batch 3 vessel (Bayard-class) one day, when I can dig out some sources about their precise size and armament.
Greetings
