Really nice to see American ships drawn after long break.

Few comments though, The idea of having darker railing when against grey superstructure or other surfaces is bit unneserical. I only use it when the color of the surfaces is something other than the standard grey color schemes.

Also (thougth this is not your fault) the better the overall shipdrawing tends to get (expecially in with American ships), more akwardly obsolent and crude the 40mm bofors twin mount starts to get. I've drawn myself the actuall Swedish made water-cooled twin mount, but as it differs from the US manufactured one, it propably won't take it place. Perhaps someone skillfull ready for small glory could work on with this issue?

But overally great addition, waiting to see more of this sort around.

Fine work as always. I'm going to assume that there are no actual errors in your references (though the mixed radar sets on the main battery directors is weird). Some constructive criticism:

Actual problems:

You're missing the blisters/fairings through which the shafts enter the hull. I believe the technical term is "bossing" (PDF warning).
Seems like the curve of the bow is a little wiggly.
The fire control radars you've used are the Mark 4 (on the secondary directors) and the Mark 8 (on the forward main battery director). These have already been drawn well on Colo's Alaska. His Mk 8 is closer to scale than yours (which, according to my references, is too thick top-to-bottom). The Mk 4 is just "different", but if neither is really better then I think we should stick with the standard one.
I agree that the old 40mm Bofors is ready for retirement, so to speak. paul_541 has a new one in here; as far as I am aware, there are no other new-drawn 40mm mounts.
The angle of the shafts seems to take a bend at the aftermost brackets and the screws themselves. I'd try to refine the shaft run if possible.

Stylistic thoughts:

I agree with Golly regarding darker railings. I don't think they're at all necessary in this case, and I've never seen a drawing that uses this style.
I am a fan of darker transom sterns, but I think yours is distractingly dark. I usually go in RGB multiples of four - if the standard hull gray is 76x76x76, I'd make the transom stern 72x72x72.
The bustles of the main battery turrets are so light that they look metal-ish. I'd make them much darker; stack-exhaust gray, probably.
I don't personally care for any more than a single brown line on underwater hulls for shading. I would have a single brown line at the top of the rudder, then five or six lines thick of the standard dark-red. Same for the area near the center skeg, and same for the back of the transom stern.
I believe you have a SG radar at the tip of the foremast as well as the top of the mainmast. This is probably correct. However, in keeping with the teaching component of Shipbucket, I would use the same drawing for both of these SG sets (rather than one pointing on the beam and one straight ahead). This makes the radar outfit confusing unless you already know what you're looking at!
For many WW2 ships, when the AA armament and radar/comms/EW outfit was constantly changing, I like to give a date in the title, again as on Ian's Alaska.

Great work as always a few comments wrt the Radar a few months ago I did some research on the Brooklyn class radar outfitts for some one the board forgotten who

but the I did come across a photo of the USS Nashville as having two different types of main battery FC radars , some thing that I had not realised, I have had the book for 15 years and must have looked at the photo hurdreds of times, often you can look at a photo and just not see some detail. The drawings correct for a certain time period mid 1943 I think ( I am on holidays and all my books are on the other side country) But in general the radar outfitts on the Brooklyn class are moving feast changes almost weekly !!!

Now on to the FIJI Class DP a subject worth of the your talents (please please)
