The key difference between you and the UK is that the UK is an island. While the british army is pretty much entirely expedionary and thus relativly small, you have a rather long land border. That means that you'll need a rather more potent army

I understand, but in that sense I have 44,000 soldiers to spend, that should be enough correct?

For your Army? No, that's only about a divisions worth, without of a lot of the attendant support commands to that would normalyl go with it. Does this include your Air Force too?

Since you are more of a hybrid land/naval country in geography take a look at France or Greece or maybe Italy (they have mountains to help them on the land side) as examples of nations that have to exist in duel spheres.

Generally, however, if you are a nation that has to deal with a significant land based threat your Navy will always be the junior service. There is no point in having an awesome navy when enemy troops are goose stepping down the streets of your capital.

So looking at France, the latest numbers seem quite accurate, I have a greater budget and more military personnel

So for active personnel
Army 163,235
Navy 44,000
Air-force 57,505
-
45,352 Civilians
-
104,382 Military Police

Unless you go for a French or Italian Gendarme style polce system then you won't need anywhere near that many MPs

My mistake, I though you had inverted the Army/Navy numbers. That looks pretty good to start but again try and flesh out the regional security situation a bit more. If you really don't suffer from any significant contigeous land threats then you might be able to focus more on your Navy and alow you to field those big CGNs of yours!

My opinion for your navy is to have mainly Fast Attack Crafts and some corvettes like the first ship you posted and that's all. Also you can have land based coastal defense with guns and mobile missile launchers (about 200 guns total, half 105mm and half 155mm plus four missile battalions-two of each small range and medium range,e.g Penguin and Harpoon).Guns for coastal defense are usually surplus army units-its all about ammunition and repairing barrels, perhaps WW2 to 1950's era. With that you should have a cover from 10km(maximum of older gen 105mm to about 20km with old 155mm) while missiles will cover from 25-30km to 140km.Also small range missiles such as Hellfire whould be useful, not both for coastal defence and land defence. And do not forget rockets-a simple, indigenous, unguided, truck mounted rocket system provides firing support even for anti-landing operations. You can go also for Soviet 122mm/152mm,all non self propelled or older locally rebuilt/modernized self propelled units.
For numbers, try find real nations with similar area and population than yours. And thought about your enemies:Are your nation under threat like Hellas/Turkey or your nation is like Scandinavian Countries were no one threats them?In the first situation you need small but strong armed forces to give your enemy a lesson by providing a large strike-back (e.g destroy most of his attacking forces within some hours with gunnery, missiles etc).In the second situation you need again armed forces strong enough for defend your land-just in case.Need for transport aicrafts depends of your area:if your two islands are close together (up to 100 miles) several large and medium helicopters can do the job.And of course what you will transfer, just troops/paratroopers or tanks and other heavy equipment.

In both situations try to have at least fewer different types:multi-role aircrafts (or different variants of one type-like SAAB Draken/Viggen),OPV variant of your corvette,Patrol Boat based on your FAC etc.

P.S 1 Aircrafts refer above is just an example, there are several comparable airframes.
P.S 2 What does "Statocracy" means?Do you mean "Republic"?
