here is my first attemt at a ship bucket design, alot of work is still required but i thought i'd upload it, if it worked, and hopefully get some pionters, this is the new build RFA Sir Galahad in 1987, of the Round Table Class. LST.

thought i would give it a bash as it would go nicely withe the Fearless Class LPD's that have been drawn so well by another drawer on here. :)

I'm not great with LSTs, but I think it looks great from a detail perspective.
Just wondering, have you used any material from another drawing? If it's something big, i.e. the hull, superstructure or similar, you must credit properly.

this is still very much a work in progress, the only parts i have borrowed are the main mast which i simply added to get the image ready to post i am working on a new mast that is closer to the prototype and the helecopters which i will credit when i post the completed ship. i am still not to happy with the details in the cut out areas of the hul and will be reworking these, also the front cranes need some work and i feel the front mast is to high.

The choppers need no crediting.
Essentially:
Guns/turrets(any weapons really), FC, choppers, planes, boats, small detail parts(life rings, lockers, fire fighting equipment), and so on does not need crediting.
If you use the hull, superstructure, or otherwise large "bits" of someone's drawings, then you're expected to credit.
It's a really confusing gray-zone, but you'll get it soon.

On a small side note on the use of other peoples' drawings: You are allowed to use any drawing on SB as a basis, or take parts from any drawing for use, as long as you credit correctly. If it's a Real Life of Never Were drawing nobody can really protest, but if you're using parts from someone's Personal Designs or Alternate Universe, it's usually prefered that/expected of you to ask the artist first. Most people will probably say yes anyways, but not all, so it's best to ask in case of a PD or AU drawing.

And again, for a beginner, you've displayed exellent talent for adding details. Best of wishes for you! :)

I am also working on the other 6 original members of the class, hoping to use sir Galahad as a basis but there is quite a number of differences, plus sir Lancelot is also slightly larger, with a more complex stern arrangement.
