Finland produces some fine, fine hockey talent. Huge thanks to Erik Haula on the men's side, but he had no part in the first undefeated college hockey season since 1970.



Big fuckin' props to Noora Räty (Espoo) and Mira Jalosuo (Lieksa). US media is discussing the likelihood that this is the best women's hockey team ever assembled in any context. Not an Olympic team... a college team. But not many hockey teams of any kind are on a 49-0-0 winning streak, back to back championships, and still hungry for more.

Rah.

Wow, it's almost as if people from Minnesota are almost as desperate for sports victories as people from Pittsburgh

thougth I must admit, that none of our exparties outside NHL or KHL hardly ever get any attention in our mainstream media.
