Only one nitpick, I thought all civilian Sunderlands were called Short Solents? I think Hythe is probably just the aircraft's name.
Hythe was indeed a name of a first Sunderland Mk.III converted to a transport variant; from then on all such conversions were known as Hythe class. The purpose built passenger variant of Sunderland without gun turrets was called Sandringham. Similar modification of Seaford was called Solent. I'm working on all of them
