Continuing my kick on research and survey craft, I present Release Candidate 1 of the Oscar Dyson class. They are a series of fisheries research ships operated by NOAA.

She is very handsome and well drawn. Just a little nit pick; The grey upright with a platform on the stern should have the same colour as the ship ;)

Actually, I've seen pictures where it's both. I have unfortunately not been able to see enough pictures of the entire ship in detail in any one of her configurations to pick a specific time and draw her then - I might go looking at some later point to try and do this, but for now I mostly wanted to get her drawn.

Thank you, I tend to draw what strikes my fancy at any point in time, and most of my drawings have been real ships (5 real to 2 {soon to be 3} never built).

Btw, and waay off topic, did you ever draw the Rikke Skou, Novice?
