Have you thought about maybe adding a CIWS to the 1991 version, or at least a few smaller guns? I do like the lines of it though, very purposeful and elegant.

Is there space at all for a CIWS?

There are no place for a CIWS but If you replace the 5" with a modern 76 mm or a 56 mm you will almost have the same AA as the CIWS, just in a different way, and a 76 mm or 56 mm of 91 have more punch than an 5" from the 60's. rate of fire and ammunition types...shit's like that!

A wip of the last armored cruiser built by the Norse navy. Armed With 16x8 inch guns in 8 twin turrets. Built as a response to the wrongly assumed Indefatigable class armored cruiser (actually battlecruiser) and the German Blücher.

That is one powerful AC there!

The only nitpick is the (6-inch?) casemate under the forward beam turret. I'd move that aft so the fore and aft batteries are 3 guns each and the midships is 2 (being that there's less available space in that area).

I was actually thinking about the same thing.

Or if you move the turrets slightly further apart you could have 9 casemates on each side giving her a more protective armament from DD's.
