Thanks BH Trouble is I'm now getting back to work again after six months at home - drat But good news, Kim is going to do the camo on HMS Jamaica (my wifes gone to the West Indies), as he's the master it should look great

The drawing has been refreshed to show the added range finder atop X turret (funny, once it was pointed out to me I kept seeing it on drawings ). Also, I decided to add type 79 radar as by 1940 it was pretty well universal on ships of this size; and finally the smaller multiple 0.5-in mounts I've rescaled. I think this one might be finished now, so I'll carry on with the Jamaica with Kims assistance on COA and camouflage.

Love the looks of these ships Bill, but please, change that horrid old pom pom to the newer model.

I read bit about Fiji after seeing this excellent drawing, Crete was a bit of a nightmare for the RN...

Thanks shipmates. Re the 'pom pom', its the multiple 0.5-in Vickers mount that we already had on the RN parts sheet, but as Hood agrees it was just too large - I tried it on the drawing and it looked odd, so yes the redraw isn't a great improvement but at least looks in scale now

The Crete campaign was a disaster for the Allies; firstly the general in charge on the ground did not defend the airfields, and was too slow to counter attack; though it was still a very close call for the invading German forces; then of course the evacuation, with the loss of so many warships, and on top of that stripping the North African forces, which may have othrewise prevailed against the Italians befor Rommel arrived

Looking very fine, the resized HMGs look better too (in my eyes at least!). Bill, Miho is right, you are still using the old 2pdr pom-pom mount, the newer one should fit better and look better too.
