Nice ships. But why do you have a different template sizes for the rebuilt version? Isn't the ship the same size?

Hello

Edited. Of course they are the same size. They just were not placed into their templates on the same day, and who can remember everything...

Hello once more

The last seagoing french pre-dreadnought not yet done - the Charles Martel.

Like the Carnot, I have not been able to obtain any decent drawings of Charles Martel and had to draw her using only photographic reference, so if she is inaccurate (which is actually quite likely) - any additional Info is welcome.

Greetings

Actually, I think garlicdesign's Charles Martel is pretty spot-on! The grotesquely exagerrated fighting towers, the ridiculously vast flying bridge abreast the thick funnels, the tumblehome etc. I have a few pictures of her, and my first ever impression of her from the famed Fenno-Swedish naval historian/artist Björn Landström's book "Skeppet" (the ship; 1961). A colorful picture with a side elevation that served to manifest my enduring love for these bizarre castle-fortresses of the high seas! I really love this thread!

A really beautiful drawing! For one, I really like the extreme fighting tops, they add a lot of power to her appearance.
