A personal idea of mine, Yamato as she may have looked had she not participated in Ten Go and survived to July of 1945. Appearance similar to Aboa and Haruna while sitting in Kure with little fuel left in her bunkers in the last few months of the war, utilized as an AA platform.

You're going to have to walk through what's different because to me she looks the same as in Ten-Go.

Essentially, she would look similar, having the aft crane tower and multiple davits removed. The difference is, in an attempt to hide her from Us aircraft as was done with ships like Aboa and Haruna, the black paint on parts of the funnel and mainmast were pained over with grey and (not shown due to SB standards), potted trees would be placed on the deck and superstructure to make her appear like a natural rock formation. Additional 25mm singles would also likely have been added to beef AA. Overall, she would have been utilized as a harbor defense battery and likely would have become a prime target as were Aboa and Haruna (not to mention Ise and Hyuga).

Again, great work on these AU Yamatos! Can't wait for the Shinano and A-150 drawings!

For Shinano, there will be three renditions. First off, a logical version in which she was not completed until early 1944 and because of restrictions and shortages would end up with the 127mm mounts. She would incorporate some modifications to her protection around control areas.

Here, Shinano after a refit in which her aa would be buffered like Yamato and Musashi. Nothing really special or new.
