It will be very difficult to draw such French vessels as shown above using SB main princip - no double pixels. Guns and searchlights are too conspicious and losing the detail means loosing the ship.

I just wonder - whether anybody tried to draw them?

well, garlicdesign did tons of them, most of them quite good as well, but you were burning him down for doing an bad job, IIRC. difficult? no. it takes effort, yes. playing with line colours and choosing what details to show to give the essention of the ship, that is what shipbucket drawing is.

'your style', IMO looses all detail because no of the details are clearly distinguishable......

and if you were just refering to that last drawing, I could find no destroyers of that size by garlicdesign on a quick glance, but IIRC others have drawn them, such as http://www.shipbucket.com/images.php?di ... -class.png and http://www.shipbucket.com/images.php?di ... bridge.gif

yes, that is one thing that is allowed, and basically the only place were double pixels are allowed normally in shipbucket style, as you cannot really show that otherwise. but you have double pixels in the masts, between turret base and the turret, funnels, portholes, structure etc. and that is what is not allowed by shipbucket style ;)
