Below I present you the Ocean Class CV, as it looked when it entered service in 2007.
t
Design work started in 2000 when the Malpusian Navy launched a RFPs for a new carrier to replace the 2 existing CVAs and 2 CVs. Swan Predator (See what I did there xD) responded with a single design that could operate in the CV, CVA and LHP roles. Selected as the winner in 2002 the first steal was cut in 2003 and launched in 2005. Completing sea trials in March 2007 she began to work up with her air group ready for her first deployment to the gulf in 2008. The air group below is what RMNS Ocean would have operated between 2007 and 2009 when aircraft began to be replaced under the Navy 2020 program.
The Ocean class is capable of operating up to 50 aircraft and the normal air groups are below:
CV:
18 F-14MN Tomcat
16 F/A-19 Tonka
4 E-13 Shackleton
2 KC-13 Belfast
4 MH-60 Fighthawk
CVA:
14 F-14MN
18 F/A-19
3 E-13
2 KC-13
6 ACV-23
6 MH-60
LPH:
8 F/A-52B Honey Badger
12 ACV-23
18 MH-60
6 CH-53
4 WAH-64
The vessel is armed with:
3 Phalanx CIWS
3 30mm Multi-Role weapons
1 20 Cell VLS for VL Sea Guard and MRCAMM
I have used Blackbuck's Island's from his Atlanian CVF and modified them to fit on a modified CVF hull
Below are the aircraft used in detail:
1 - E-18 Shackleton:
The E-18 was developed from the Jetstream 41 for carrier AEW with the Erieye radar. 18 were originally ordered and 4 more were ordered to spread air frame hours
2 - KC-18 Belfast:
The Belfast was developed alongside the E-18 for COD. 9 were ordered (one for both E-18 and KC-18 pilot training) and another 3 are on order to spread air frame hours.
3 - ACV-23 Cote:
The ACV-23 is a military varient of the AW609. It was developed for special forces operations but has also added Maritime Patrol and Helicopter Escort to its roles. It can carry 8 Brimstone/Hellfire, 2 500lb bombs, 4 ASRAAM or a mixture of the 3. It can also carry up to 8 fully armed troops
4 - T-45D Peregrine.
The T-45D was deveopled from the Goshawk for carrier training and light strike. The air frame of the T-45 was mated with the radar from the Hawk 200 to give AMRAAM capability so it could be used as a surge aircraft if required.
5 - F-14MN Tomcat
The F-14MN is a development of the F-14M with a fly-by wire system and the ability to carry air to ground munitions. In 2006 it was decided to SLEP the aircraft to enable them to continue until at least 2025
6 - F/A-19D Tonka
Developed from the Tornado F.3 and GR.4 the F/A-19D replaced the Bucc on RMN carriers. It mates the attack systems from the GR.4 with the larger airframe of the F.3 and carrier modifications.
Any comments???
