Caledonia is a country in the Pacific Ocean. Consisting of three Large Islands and Several small Islands of various size.
Haram in the 21 century have a democratic systems, where all type of people can live together regardless religions.


History

1500-1700
In 1500 there was 3 rich Barons that started a trading company together, where they shipped and transported Cargo around in the Known world. by 1600 these three Barons had become extreme rich and powerful, they had they own military and navy to protect their cargo and workers. during 1600 three Barons become 12 when 9 rich Barons establish them self on nearby Islands.

During the period off 1675 to 1680 France Navy and British Navy did several raids against this Barons. The British and the French government meant this Barons was getting to powerful and they had to stop them somewhat! After these raids from the British and French Navy's, the 12 barons that have become 13 come together in 1681 and started talking together about what they shall do. After one year with discussion and a another raid from the British Navy, these 13 Barons sow No alternative than establish a Country by using they're wealth and military to enforce it. In 6. November 1682 all 13 Barons signed a contract, and the country
was establish.

The New country got the Name Caledonia, since Baron Gustaf C. von Donia pushed this establishment forward. Baron Henry von Gnizer Some was the poorest Baron become King on the request of the other 12 Barons. the Plan was to have a king that wasn't to powerful so they should have some power over him. But what they didn't expect is how smart he was. All the way up to 1698 he had lured all 12 Barons Without they knowledge. first hi lured the navy of them, and then he said he needed money to drift the navy and get food for the people, and also he wanted taxes. the 12 Barons couldn't do anything because the King had the military and the Navy. And after some time the "12" Barons came to the king for a talk where they also signed the "Gnizer" document, this document made sure that "The 12" Baron never could get to Powerful. Now the King could focused on something else, the British Navy and the french Navy!

1700-1900

1703; The French and British Government wasn't happy about the establishment of Caledonia and sent a force down against Caledonia, But they didn't expect Caledonia young royal navy to come directly out after them, on the open sea and attack them. But it ended with the more powerful British Navy to win the fight at a great lost for the Caledonia Navy, they lost there flagship with the King aboard, He believed that it is important that the king was out with the men.

His son only managed to get news of his father's death, when the French fleet attack, but lucky for him was the British fleet also there and saw the French fleet as a nice open targets and attack the French fleet. With the rest of the Caledonia Main fleet in one end, and the British Navy on the other end the French fleet had to retreat. the New King used this opportunity to come with a request to the British Admiral and asked him if he can send a request to the British government (king). His request was that he asked a meting with the British king, on British soil in London.

1704; his request was accepted by the British government. Text from a British Admiral logbook (the same Admiral that defeated Haram Navy a year earlier):

20.06.1704. 1 single First class frigate of the line with Caledonias flags arrived. The frigate had sailed in front of Caledonia's King. they asked for berthing place for 25 vessels. I told them they could have outer Harbor. and the Northern pier.

21.06.1704. I had dinner with the Commander of the Caledonian frigate, he is a strong man and after my opinion a very clever man. when he arrived at the pier he stopped a fight by just looking at those men that was fighting... If we just had many men like him, a man that the crew can talk to as a friend but also be scared ....

22.06.1705 When the commander of the Caledonian frigate said 25 vessels hi didn't say what type of vessels. I counted 5 ship of the line,
one 134-gun first-rate ship of the line,
one 114-gun first-rate ship of the line,
two 90-gun first-rate ship of the line,
one 65-gun first-rate ship of the line,
escorted by:
three 75-gun second-rate ship of the line,
one 55-gun royal ship
eleven 18-35 guns frigates.
five transport vessels.

I have asked the commander about these vessels and why they wasn't there, he answered me with that they was under building or fitting and wasn't thus not ready for battle.

And I have them docked in the outer Harbor, I have totally blocked my force inside the Harbor.



After the two king had meet and have talked and made some trading deals, they signed papers that made Caledonia a country in British eyes!

1900-

Caledonia Navy have from it begging build many vessels. vessels that is odd and should never have bean build, but also a lot of great vessels. By 1900 Caledonia was becoming a rich country thanks to it's trading deals with many country's. The military did also get some of this pot, and by 1915 Caledonia Navy had 10 Pre-dreadnoughts, 25 dreadnoughts, 2 Battleship type vessels, 10 Large coastal defense ships and several Destroyers and frigates among one of the largest torpedo boats fleet, consisting of over a 100 small and fast torpedo boats.

The fleet was modernized in 1920 with new destroyers and cruisers, but also 5 new class of Dreadnought /battleships where one of this class was the famous, "The 13th Baron" class Heavy dreadnought.



Will come with more at a later point. When I got some time. The story is a bit empty, So if you heal that you can rewrite it better than me so it fits better in to the world History and so on, you'r welcome (Just send me the finish written text and tell me where it shall go, and I shall post it!). I am most likely not going to draw any sailing ship, but perhaps one day, but if you want to draw them, I would appreciated it! Note there are also some spelling errors, will try to correct them tomorrow!

The Arman class was build as an escort for the slower aircraft carriers and thus free up Fast battleships to different task-force that have high speed Carriers. They replaced the 8 aging dreadnought of the "Devastation class" and the 2 old "Thunder class" Super dreadnought. these vessels was build with some equipment bought trough trading deals with UK ans US.

Design:

They was slightly overpowered but and could never manage to use all of its engine power to propulsion. The Engine was a of a new design that was designed around the idea of faster cruise speed at the cost of high speed. this meant also that these engine used a lot of fuel at top speed. They was originally designed for 10" guns but was later changed for 11" guns since the 11" guns had a better grenades like "AP" and burst grenades. It's secondary was originally designed to be using the heavy 6" DP gun of Caledonian design, but because the increase in weight on the main armament, they chosen the British 5.25" guns, since they was available at the time. she had also 4 twin 3" guns received trough a deal with US, for testing use, instead for designing a new type of gun. these guns was mounted purely for testing around the idea that the 76 mm was more effective than the 40 mm AA guns.

since this vessels was designed as an Carrier escort where they task was to give a AA cover during operation, they deck armor was strong, to the cost of hull armor, But they still had an Torpedo belt over vital areas. Other areas was divided in more compartment or given a twin hull with limited armor.

yes but also that this guns can elevate a bit more than Normal 11" guns can, but only for a limited time at those angles.
