Great work on the FRIESENLAND! Will you draw her as the CASTEL NEVOSO as well?

Yes, I have a few good photos for Castel Nevoso, but unfortunately I don't have any informations on her appearance as Fair Sky or Argentine Reefer.

She spent the most time as the CASTEL NEVOSO, so that is the most important period. FAIRSKY was an intermediate name for just two years (1950-52) and ARGENTINIAN REFFERS was for just a year only (1968-69).

Good luck with drawing the CASTEL NEVOSO. I have the book "The Sitmar liners and the V ships" which contains a line drawing of the CASTEL NEVOSO (among others!). Let me know if you need it. I will then bring it to the office and try to scan it.

SS Imperatrix of the Osterreichischer Lloyd, Laid down on 1888 at Trieste
as a Cargo/passenger Liner connecting Trieste with India ports via Suez Canal.
This is the ship as comisioned on 1888...later she received a modernization by abstracting
the three masts to two and the two shafts to one.
The ship run aground on February 1907, due to heavy storm and lost of her position off western Crete island,
shores (Cape Elafonisos) with the loss of 40 lives which do not responce to captains order
to stay on the ship and launch a lifeboat to reach the shore, which capsize driving them to death.
After 15 hours with the help of locals and a gunboat of Russian Imperial Navy the remaining
survivors resqued. The ship later sunk due to rough seas...

I'm not a specialist, but I'm impressed though. Really good-looking first 19th century job! :D
