and you have no sonar making adding ASROC worthwile. better said, you have no sonar at all!
I think you have to be looking at an slightly bigger ship......

Several things that come to my mind:
-bow will be very wet except for the calmest of weather (heigth from waterline is comparable with coastal minesweepers),
-ASRoc launcher will obstruct the view forward from the bridge almost entirely,
-mast arrangement looks very delicate and not particularly stable,
-that AN/SPG in the middle of the funnel looks original, delicately speaking.

ASROC changed to two Bofors launchers, topdowns added and foredeck slightly altered and raised. I belive smoke stacks are within reasonable size for steam turbine driven vessel. Mast is pretty difficult for me as it needs to have whole bunch of stuff while I'm trying to keep it as low as i can. Could I leave out 2D radar and use only early AN/SPS 39?

I appreciate all the posts and feel like this boat may be finished soon.

I'm no expert on these ships, but I really like it! The top view is very pretty. Speaking of which, I have a few notes on it:
Firstly, the upper superstructure(just fore of the funnels) doesn't add up in the aft end in the side and top view.
And, the turrets have a lot of multi-hue shading on the top view. It's generally prefered to avoid MHS, so try to create the effect with only two shades. :)

Updated drawing and story a little. Fixed some obvious flaws and removed MHS to three tone colouring.

Although a good effort, I'll make this point: Your radar outfit is very badly placed and outfitted. See real life USN ships to see what I mean, but on a ship of this size, namely a DEG the radar carried was only the SPS-39 3-d air search radar along with SPS-10 surface search. BTW if you are set on using both the SPS-37 and SPS-39 I suggest moving one of the to the forward edge of the funnel, as a survivability measure (a hit on your mast will make the ship blind). Placing the SPG-51 between the funnels is wrong as the hot fumes have a corrosive effect on the delicate electronics, and adverse effects on the radar beam, which is used to guide the missile to its target.
I also think that your whole superstructure (both levels) is way too low, it seem to be only 14 pixels high, which corresponds to 7 ft, but remember that deck height also included the steel deck itself so I believe that a superstructure height of 16 pixels is more realistic.

Mk 11 changed to Mk 13 as they are both introduced in 62 according to Ace's GMLS sheet.

keep in mind that this is the first use date, not the design date ;) Mk 11 is still older then the Mk 13. if your ship is from later then 1962 though, you can do what you want, indeed :P
