I am sure this system is possible since I visit another forum with similar system, but maybe it could be a separate system beside the current 'color' system?

I'm with Colo. I don't like the idea, and I mentioned the nautical analogy for the staff because I came up with it and I'm very fond of it.

just my two cents- I willingly admit I am nowhere close to becoming a premium member, but looking at the post counts people like Rhade, Zeph, Klag, Radome, Rax, Emp Andreas, Clone, KHT who are very close to being premium members or/and are valuable parts of this community do deserve some form of recognition, some of these people have been here awhile.

Yes, it's very much possible, but I'm afraid people here will start treating it as if the postcount rank has some sort of actual effect on your status here, which is not the case. This is effort from our side that doesn't contribute to the goal of this forum (drawing ships), and as such I will not dedicate our rather limited time to implementing it.

Well, being serious, I'm a Commander over on Warship Projects, but this was purely as a result of inundating the forum with posts when a partner and I were developing the 'Coffee War' AU - some years ago; but nowadays I don't look in that often (something I'm trying to address),but the point is that my status was based around the number of my posts, and I'd rather not have that here,
