HMS Caroline, the decommissioned C class cruiser, now in Belfast, and the only surviving ship that was present at the Battle of Jutland, may yet evade the breakers as the National Lottery Heritage Fund had pledged 1M Pounds for urgent repairs to the ship, a step towards preservation of the 4,500 tons cruiser and maybe a center piece for a Belfast maritime museum.
