The Audace was a destroyer used by the Regia Marina from 1916-1943. Originally laid down as the IJN Kawakaze of the Urakaze Class, she was sold, under pressure from Britain, to Italy, and completed with Italian armament. In 1929, she was redesignated as a Torpedo Boat, then converted to a control ship for the radio target ship San Marco, and the TT's were removed. In 1943, she was captured by the Germans and re armed with TT's, and used as the Torpedo Boat TA-20.

Odd that a torpedo boat is completely bereft of torpedoes.
