One thing I noticed is that the original springsharp report you didn't alter the block coefficient down towards destroyer levels and as a result it was giving you a Beamer, more blocky hull design than you would typically have for a warship of that size.

It was the coefficiency that automatically put there. Should it be 0.4 or something?

Something closer to that yes. The default generally tries to put the vessel towards a battleship hull which obviously is different to a destroyer.

I have been working on this one for three days now. I present the second, top modern ship in the Norse fleet: The Elding class corvette. Elding means lightning.

She has one five inch gun, one 30mm CIWS, six VLS tubes for a short range SAM, 2x4 launchers for SSMs.
She runs on two gas turbines and two diesel engines giving a top speed of 35-40 kts.

Right, forgot about that. The huge white dome controls the gun. The two direcors that I just added guids the SAM and the SSM is radar guided and as such don`t need any direcors on the ship. The CIWS uses the ship`s own radars to track incoming objects.

Any comments on the design it self?

I'd probably raise the funnels slightly above the directors / gun. I'd also probably mount some ASW tubes on there...

Here are some designs I`ve been working on. Some are crap I`ll grant you that.

A heavy cruiser design from 1945. Great emphasise on AA guns. Finished post-war:

A patrol ship with the firepower of a small cruiser. Armed with 8x8 inch guns:

A new battleship. Originally meant as an alternative to the Ragnarök. Armed with 12x16 inch guns:

You can remove every 20mm gun from the post-war cruiser. By then they were considered pretty much useless and they were much too manpower intensive for a peace time navy.

That is the war time design for the cruiser and not the as finished design. It will of course have some changes to reflect added experience and a bit more peace. It`s a 30mm btw. The 20mm was considered to puny so 30mm was placed on every ship from the 30s and up as minimum AA.
