I'd say it sounds fairly good.
My prefered destroyer AA suit, depending a bit on size of the destroyer is 4-12 40mm/60(56) and completing number of smaller guns(25 or 13,2 mm). My Wapen class for example is armed with(if I remember correctly) eight 40mm/60 guns in four twins, and 9 single 25mm guns.
Then again, this depends on when they enter service. I don't know when the RSN starts using the bofors 40mm guns, but I assume it isn't until 1941-1942.

The SRN used imported British 2-pounder Pom Poms to arm many of their ships until the war in Europe began in 1939 which cut off the supply route. The SRN had to look elsewhere for an effective heavy AA weapon and the Bofors 40mm was seen as a good candidate being capable of high rates of fire and perhaps more importantly, was available. The first Sieranian ships to be equipped with the 40mm guns started to appear around 1940 or so as trials vessels though the actual gun mount didn't become common on SRN vessels until late 1941 when the last of the imported Pom Poms had been mounted.

The only vessels that differed from this were the C3s as no 2-pounders were available to import from the UK at the time of their fitting out due to the Royal Navies own expansion in the face of the growing tensions in Europe.

With these large destroyers, I've got a position forward of the bridge on the deckhouse before the forward turret, an elevated sponson amidships between the torpedo launchers and on the deckhouse aft before the twin aft turrets for placing my AA batteries.

Ok, sounds like a good arrangement.
Will you do a top view for this one as well?

I plan on giving it a shot yes. Not sure how I'll go as destroyers have a lot on them and there aren't many shipbucket scale drawings already done of WW2 era vessels as a basis. The torpedo launchers are the trickiest part in my opinion as well as the mast and depth charge racks aft.

Tooting my own horn a bit ;) , I made a destroyer from the mid/late 1930s for my Erikrike AU which you could look on:
[ img ]
The torps were a bit messy, yes, but figuring out how to do the mast was a bit more difficult. But then I realized you hardly see the mast on top view drawings, since they're always rather thin. So you could deffinetly represent it in a similar way that I've done.
Just give me a holler if you need help with the top views! ;)

That looks about right yeah. I've found some good ref images of two ship classes mine is similar to (the 1936A destroyer and the Le Hardi class) so their top views should help getting the appearance right.

Lovely revamp of the Lazerev Denodon! Looking forward to those destroyers. :)

Thanks Raxar.

Here's a preliminery springsharp on the destroyers as I have drawn them in the WIP so far. Looking at it I might need to alter a few things. Seakeeping isn't great but it seems better than standard. The range however is abysmal though I don't particularly fancy dropping their speeds as they need an edge over the cruisers to be effective.

Keep in mind this is perhaps the worst kind of ship to make in springsharp: It's essentially the exact opposite of what the program is designed to do. Ok, a destroyer ala Fantasque or a MTB would end up even messier, but that's about it.
Something worth remembering is that Springsharp greatly overrates the power needed for the speed for these ships. Take the Swedish Halland class for example. It is about 700 tons larger than this, it had a speed of 35 knots, with an engine power of 58 000 SHP. So if you enter, say 33 knots in the springsharp report, the ship would IRL be able to reach(at least) roughly 36 knots.
