I'd like to apologize to Novice in advance for grabbing this ship without asking him (I'm sorry Novice!). I present the Release Candidate 1 of the MV Marjorie C, the next ship in the Pasha Hawai'i fleet, set to enter service in late 2013.

I'm not sold on the aft quarter RO-RO ramp, or a few other things with the containers, and would like to hear any suggestions people have (that's why it's a release candidate, not the final version :D).

Tim, no apologies needed as this thread is for US merchant ships. I like this drawing, apart from the black dividing line in the bows shading, but other than that good work

After a long absence, here is a ship from the MARAD program of WW2.
The C1 M AV1 were small shallow draft vessels, which were designed for supplying the US forces in the Pacific islands. Many of these ships were sold after the war to commercial companies and were also converted to various uses, among them as drill ships foe oil exploration (Cyclone and Hurricane). Here is the basic design ship, unnamed and under the US flag

Ships which were sold commercially will be appearing later.
