well, the best thing you can do is start researching. we could tell you all about it, but the fact is that next time you need parts like that, you might ask again for similar things. note that this is not an attack or anything, but just how I started......

but, just to remind you of this: weapons and radars are extremely complicated, even when compared to the complex floating objects we call ships. this is why I use at least 50% real systems for these on my own design and AU work. this gives me the ability to correctly estimate how they would work in real life, and how they would impact the ships design. the less experienced you are, the more you should use real systems, IMO. because of this, it is also easier to comment for people who are of course not familiar with your AU weapons and radars, as every single one of them requires different setups and has different characteristics.

APDAF/ALVAMA:
Thanks. I'm looking it up right now.

Ace:
On the research: Yes, but as said I don't know where to start(though I'm looking through the british sheets right now), that being the real issue.
On using real systems: I will look into it. I was thinking though, would it be okay to do one version with, for example british systems, and one with Gotrige systems slated as roughly equivalent placed in the same arrangement? This way, people will have an easier time telling what is what, and Gotrige can still have individual systems, to some degree.

EDIT: The SAM is already directly based of the Sea Dart, and I'm working at the data for the SSM. Should have it posted soon enough.

No, KHT - The Quote was not meand at you! It's just so funny, since we normally link that page to APDAF himself!
I think you have done great progresses!

that would work fine, KHT! note that 'having own version of foreign systems' is exactly what quite a few navies do, as for example the norwegian navy.
most parts sheets, data and sources can be found in the links from here: http://www.shipbucket.com/forums/viewto ... f=5&t=3287

While not an update on the design with new radars(I'm currently at work trying to find fitting systems), here are the radar systems that has appeared so far on the Admiral class. I might reuse them, but I think I'll scratch-draw new radar systems and such. But, I post it so that you all know what they were intended for in my mind:
[ img ]
3DRa M/82: 3D radar;
IMERRa M/84: SSM guidance/targeting radar;
NRa M/80: Navigation Radar;
LFERS M/80: SAM guidance/targeting radar.

Interesting looking ship I'll say. Not my style of interest but I don't see any major flaws with her design. I can't comment on the sensor fit as I know nothing about them.

Thanks. I'm (obviously) fairly green at this as well, and that's kind of why I want to try these designs out.

Also, I'm going to do one version with British systems and one with Dutch, and then see which fits best.

You might lack some systems, as the dutch have developed less systems the for example the USN. When that is the case, you can pm me ;) as long as you know what kind of system you are missing

There, I've added the version with the British radar systems in the first post. Hopefully they're not way off.
And no, the aft superstructure won't probably look like that in the finished version. I'm currently brainstorming on how to make it more interesting(or perhaps to shorten it down, pulling the whole supestructure aft, and adding a few more VLSs, if it would work. Not too sure about it though, since the nuke reactor takes up some space).
