The Fuzhokov is taking some time. In the meanwhile, here's the 1931 conversion of the Obonet Class.
Of the original 4 vessels, the Kalako was sunk in 1924 during the Second Russo-Cenet War. In 1926, the three remaining vessels were mothballed. During the Fleet Moderization Program of the late 20's and early 30's, the Obonet, Rewer, and Percher were inspected to determine if they would be converted to aviation tenders. Percher was deemed to be in inadequated condition and was scrapped. In 1929, Rewer and Obonet were almost completely rebuilt inside and out. The newly converted ships were equipped with 2 new aircraft, the Nakajima E4N and the Werlen FT. Both ships were present during the Aleutian Islands campaign of 1942, and were sunk during that same operation.
