I am starting to draw a medium tank, my idea is something similar to M4 Sherman and M3 Stuart. I have no Idea how it will look like, but i am thinking about a 60 mm gun,
M3 use 37mm and M4 75mm, 60mm is ... unusual caliber. Stuart was a light tank, what you want to take from that tank in to your medium ? Still I need to ask a year of design, that info tell me what was a main trends of tank designs in real world.

Haram start to build tanks in around 1940. and at the moment I am focusing on that time period, and perhaps up to those that came to late to give any effect to war. Also note that I have now 2 type of heavy's, but there would be many different type of mediums, some "ridiculous", some "say what" style, while some is just "ordinary".

One year of war ... no tank building tradition, experience or know-how. Probably you will build a little monsters and first tank if you start with you own design in 40' will be on production lines ... maybe in 42'.

Start thinking about tank development or use in Haram from mid 20', then you will have a knowledge to build armor and not take bazillion of models from your hat in just one year. ;)

hm.... thinking a bit.

I can see a possible way for Haram where they build their own armored trucks and cars, and purchased tanks from ... shall we say, the U.S., since they built quite good tanks during these periods, or shall we say. bought tanks from the British and later went over to U.S. tanks and finally to self-produced tanks.

and i agree there must be some ridiculous tanks developed during this time. but how they shall look like, I have no clue. but we can for example say Haram have had a slow development on producing there own tanks. So let us say Haram have had about 5 to 10 year with testing and failing before they got it right (espionage), then started to develop and build tanks in small numbers, Before on of the many large Haram industries started to build.

With this we can say: research an development 1920 -1930, Small number production 1931 - 1940, Industry taking over 1941 -.....

so concept that is stupid is welcome, but also tanks that was build and are a bit odd, .....

Cars, trucks ... good idea, if your country don't have that kind of industry there will be no mechanization of army. I don't know what are you talking about "good US tanks", yanks build handful of light tanks, not bad but also not good. Before WWII armored forces in US was only on paper. You should look more on British or Frogeaters tanks design, they build lot's of armored vehicles. But in two different doctrines, cruiser-infantry tanks for GB and only infantry tanks for FR.
