On your DDG I would suggest that you move the forward superstructure and the hangar towards eachother. Then remove the aft VLS and put an increased one on the bow. Doing so you create a helideck and hangar that is useful. As it is now i would refuse to land on that little space.

It`s the same space as on an Arleigh Burke so there should be no problems.

But the ship is about 2-3 meters wider than the Burke. That should compensate for the bigger size of the helicopter.

rule of the thumb for helicopter landing spot size: (actually based on official lloyds rules:)
landing deck area should be an square 1,25* the diameter of the rotor of the largest operated helicopter.
note that it is known that this cannot always be done (due to ships with not enough beam for that), in that case the length can be made larger to fit the rules
so, your helideck length should be: (RD= rotor diameter, B= beam, L= length)
((1,25* RD)^2)/B= L, L>1,25RD

The rotor is 18,3 meters long. The deck space needed is 22,875 meters.

well, then you have just proven it fits (if your ship has an beam of 22,875 meters, that is)

The beam is 23 meters. 3 Meters more than the Arleigh Burke. It gives a small margin for the helo deck. What I`d really like is feedback on the battlecruiser and the heavy cruiser.
