And, is it a plausible design?
well........
the underwater hull looks more or less good, but:
- the bow needs some work
- I have never seen an bilge keel like that, wider at the ends then in the middle.
- propellers are mostly drawn with grey outlines here.
the hull above that needs some work too, as there are openings just above the waterline (flooded and sunk by it's own bow wave..... doesn't sound good
) and on places where there can't be decks.
also, there seems to be an lack of sponsons for the flight deck, which because of that appears to be quite narrow.
radars, fire control and weapons:
- you have an 3 british, an american and an unknown to me radar on top of your bridge.
- you also have 2 american sea sparrow directors, one dutch STIR, and an unknown to me director on your structure.
- your weapons on board are an CIWS which looks like an (dutch) goalkeeper (but not entirely, have you drawn it yourself?) french crotale missiles and of course your aircraft.
do you see the problem? the systems don't really fit each other.
drawing wise it looks not bad, although you have no shading at all (check the shipbucket guidelines for that) and quite a few of your parts are drawings we have already replaced by more accurate ones.
well, hope this helps to improve. note that carriers are the hardest ships ever to draw, maybe begin with something smaller and simpler like an frigate first and use the beginners guide (here
