AEGIS, SAMSON, NTU, EMPAR + S1850..... and those are only the long range AA systems. mid range AA systems and self defence AA systems are way more numerous.... but you should adjust missiles and weapons to the system you are going to use
also, note that APAR does not work very well without SMART-L.

Well.. in all honesty I think SAMPSON may be most appropriate considering what I am an AU of. (United Kingdom)

From there I could change the missiles to say.... Tomahawk and Sea Viper? That would give this ship ASuW and AAW capabilities.

would work.
notice that S1850 and SAMPSON are an great pair together, much better then SAMPSON alone.

Yea, the Type 45 is a great piece of kit. One of the few ships I know a bit of information about.

She is a great boat. I am proud to have her in my navy.

Right, a bit of an update for "WIP 4.1"

Current armament in terms of VLS is:
2x 64 Cell blocks.
1x 48 Cell block.

Is this too much?

My other current issue is the mounting for the SAMPSON, I am not sure how to approach it.

US Ticonderoga Cruisers carry 2 61 cell blocks (for a total of 122), so i might say 176 cells for a destroyer is a bit too much, the US Arleigh Burke DD carry about 90 of them.

watch your stability!
also, look at other ships for weapon numbers
burke has 64 + 32 cells
daring has 64? cells
tico has 64 + 64 cells
KDX-3 has 32+ 64 + 32 cells (IIRC)
I would suggest going to maximum burke amount of VLS, so 96 cells, for this ship

also, try to adress powerplant and hull issues first.

Right.

Whats up with the powerplant?

And the hull issues?

hull:
- you have an USN style underwater hull on an british style bow and an stern that looks round to me, which I cannot think of any modern ship having it.
- the stability is counted in in the hull issues, so the VLS that high might become an problem....
- as I said, the entire hull feels very kitbashy, having picked from at least 3 ships already.

powerplant: your gas turbines are very far ahead, while the diesels are very close to your prop axis. this means that your ship should be diesel + gas-electric driven, because such long shafts running through your ship is an bad idea.....
ships which have it like that, like the spruance, have 2 enginerooms which are basically the same forward and aft, with only one prop shaft going to each engine room. I doubt that is the case here though, and I doubt it workable too.

and most of that was described shortly above already.

Alright. I'll get to work on it.
