Glad to see someone crediting properly at least.

But you know, if it made sense for warships to mount 9999999999 VLS cells amidships, then I think they'd be doing that...

Hehe. And you critisized ME for having to much VLS ? ;-)

I think the dozens of rockets above the ship somehow makes the pic overcrowded. put some of them away. and dont let yourself get limited. If you think VLS is cool, its cool! :ugeek:

Alright, thank you very much for all the info guys, I am a bit of a noob but I am looking to improve. I will probably post an improved version in a few hours or tommorrow.

Edit: [ img ]

Heres my revised version so far. The missiles are transparent because I might transfer to ABL's(??) I would really appreciate any and all help when it comes to technical things. I am a land based fella and I don't know too much about naval vessels and their weapons and systems.

If this is a modern design, where`s the stealth? The bridge is intended to be almost as wide as the hull, look at the original frigate it came from. There`s more than enough space for VLS in front of the bridge. One 64 cell VLS or a 32 cell depending on the mission. Look at other designs, you might even get more cells in front of the hangar ala Arleigh Burke. That hangar is too small to house two Merlins and a Lynx. Two Lynxes is more reasonable, two Merlins might be too much.

The intended idea wasn't two Merlins AND a lynx, I was actually showing what it could carry. My idea was more 1 Lynx + 1 Merlin, 1 Merlin, or 2 Lynxs.

Tha hangar is still too small for one Merlin. It`s not long enough. The way you have it on the drawing all three are carried.

Perhaps trying to set her up like this may help me get this design a bit better.

So I have a few questions:
Weaponry- Move the harpoons? Have VLS space at front and rear, with something else centralized?
Radars/Sensors - Are they alright now?
