This is my first attempt at picturing real ship in Ship bucket template.

I ask for feedback.

You miss couple of "brown" on masts.

Indeed masts in several places lack color, but otherwise it looks great.

Very nice! There are not many sailing ships around here, so I think its a great contribution and out of the ordinary.

maybe you can give the sails some depth? you know, give us the feeling of real wind blowing those sails!

Really good, nice to see another tall ship on these boards. In addition to what has been said, there are a few lines that should be grey instead of black, the headstays and the 2 stays going from the top of the aft most mast to forward of the foremast, and the one going from there to the mainmast. She's also missing an anchorline.

This is an amazing first ship. I don't know rigging very well, so I'll leave it to the above posters, but I'd like to suggest that you outline the shaft and the supporting structure in black - as is the standard for parts infront of other structure.

If is built in 1921 at the post indicates I don't recall any working ship built then that would have gunports pained on. They where only done years before. Not that I Don't like the look of it I do. I just think that it is out of it's time peirod.

Actually painting on gunports was somewhat common. I guess people felt it didn't look right without some suggestion that it could blow something out of the water

The masts lacking colour was intentional.
In some oil paintings the mast were 2/3 white, that however proven inaccurate.
Rigging, I used black lines to make them visible, turns out grey works too.

I have fund a nice picture of barque rigging I will try my best too implement it in this pic.


The ship started life in 1869 as British frigate Chinsura, 1893 sold to Italy renamed Lucco under that name she lost aft mast in a storm around Cape Good Hope, rebuild as a Barque, and sold to Dutch in 1898, renamed again Nest, from 1915 she remained inactive.
In 1920 the ship purchased by Polish State Marine School in Tczew. After repairs in 1921 the ship was sailed to Poland.
In her last refit to sail training ship, she retained her cargo hold, it was done so the ship will earn its keep in under financed school.
Intensely exploited till 1927 when additional ships were purchased.
In 1930 the ship was replaced as a training ship by frigate Dar Pomorza, transfered to Polish navy it served the remainder of its life as submarine support ship then a hulk floating barracks. On 25 September 1937, she was erased from the Lloyd's Register and sold to scrap. Scraped either in 1938 or 1939.

Lwow had the distinction being the first ship under polish banner to cross the equator on 13 August 1923.

I'm not happy with the flag it stands out, it is blowing in the wind while the sails hang loosely.
