nice looking CAM ship. Not popular with pilots but no surprise there. All they had to look forward to was a 4 hour flight then a ditching in the Atlantic where if you survived, hopefully you'd be picked up. Such a great thing the arrival of CVEs.

Nice CAM ship; my only very minor quibble would be the colour scheme on the Hurricane. IIRC these were fairly old machines that would have not been seen fit to have a marine colour scheme, so would still be in the standard European camouflage scheme.

I'm not sure on the camouflage scheme comments, the scheme at the time would have been "Extra Dark Sea Grey" and "Dark Slate Grey" at least on the FAA birds (remember not all Hurricats were FAA machines so some may well have still been in "Dark Green" and "Dark Earth") but the height of the underside paint. As far as I know the undersides wouldn't encroach that high along the fuselage sides...

Thank you goes to Bombhead, for intention of drawing the CAM ship Ariguani.
The result is here

[ img ]

The Ariguani was built as a cargo and passengers ship for the banana trade between Great Britain and the Caribbeans, she survived WW2 and, if I remember correctly was the first ship to bring bananas to the UK after the end of WW2.

Adding another small ship
Steam tanker Sultan Van Langkat, built in 1898 for the KJCPL, and later used by Shell.
