Since we've seen a surge of IJN ships on here recently (thanks to the amazing drawings of BB1987), here's a list of the major IJN ships that served (or would have served) in World War II. The planes listed are only those that saw front-line service.

All drawings can be found on the new main website. Completed, In Progress, Someone plans to do it, and a drawing exists, but a redrawing is planned. Anything else is fair game. The SB-scale IJA Aircraft chart can be found here, and the SB-scale IJN Aircraft chart here.

Very nice list emperor!
seems we are running out of large combatants here
just a question, who has done Kamikaze/Mutsuki? because i can't find them anywhere (that's why i added them in my worklist).

Nice list! Could you perhaps make the names of completed ships into links to actual drawings?
Oh and by the way you can mark Jingei and Tsugaru as "In progress" 8-)

Very nice, and quite helpful. Though you may want to mark that there are 2 Fushimi Class gunboats, and that the 1906 one is done.

BB1987: ALVAMA drew Kamikaze as completed, while Weisman drew DD Yuzuki (Mutsuki-class) as depicted during the 1930s. But as we all know, different ships of the various classes were different many times over in their respective careers.

Raxar: The ships in this list are only those that served in WWII.

Aikoku Maru as a liner was done by me. I also plan on doing merchant vessels Argentina/Brazil Maru, Rio de Janeiro Maru, Hikawa Maru, and more, all as merchant ships only.
I also have the J2 (Junsen 2) submarine I-6 in work (about 40% completed).

Here's a compromise...someone make a list of the IJA / IJN aircraft, then go through the board and find out which ones have been done (I have no idea), and then PM me the list and I'll add it.

As for planes, I have some ref's of Aichi aircraft from the 10's-30's. I'll start on them this week.
