Hi Guys..

I search for the portuguese units, and detect some errors..I only start working at the draws a few hours ago, but I sugest the correction of the follow aspects.

The Westland Lynx is awkward in the attachments and ships
I choose to redraw the MK95 version from Portugal and this is my suggestion.

I will wait for the opinion of the shipbucket users

The Portugal, "Vasco da Gama" Class
- the name was wrong, "Gamma", its "Gama"
I make the changes of the name, insert the flags of the ship and insert the Lynx rework and result in this:

Please say if I done something wrong, because I'm will keep working in the POR. Draws..

Have fun..

The other thing that you should do is to change the outdated radar and weapons. Afterwards, add an underwater hull.
Nice first attempt :)

for the lynx: you might be better off starting from the lynx on this drawing https://dl.dropbox.com/u/93982636/Shipb ... eGreat.gif
I cannot find an all-grey version right now, this is the most neutral coloured I could think of so fast.
and yeah, that ship needs a bit more work, but good to see you want to improve the real design vessels of the main site ;)

Welcome aboard MavGaz. As others have stated there are a few additional things you can do to make the drawing even better. While an underwater hull would be nice, it is my no means required. As for parts updates, I suggest that the Phalanx, the Sea Sparrow Launcher, the torpedo tubes (these are located on the main deck directly under the intakes for the engine), and the Harpoon launcher be updated to use the following parts:

Again, welcome aboard, and I look forward to seeing more of your work. :)

and, apart from the systems timothyC mentioned, the DA-08 and STIR 180's from the dutch parts sheet: [ img ]
and I believe there is an update for that french gun somewhere....

I've been working on the updated version of this class (including the underwater hull) with MConrads' permission.

Hi people.. what a welcome =)..

Thanks for your advices.. I realized that some of the suggestions where not fitting well my eye when assembled in the draw.. so I had to rework also some sensores and Launchers that where not correct..

1 - The Air Radar was too big and some errors of draw so I reduce him and correct the draw.
2 - Also I didn't like the harpoon launchers but even the oldest one where incorrect so I rework the Harpoon launchers too..
3 - About the Phalanx the update installed in the Meko class is Block 1 MK1 and has the sensor director and the camera, I picked the Block 1 suggestion and fit the missing part..
3 - I instaled the torpedo tubes and Sparrow launcher and fit well and rework the underwater hull and here is it..

I know the concept of shipbucket isn't this, but I have defend that it has better look colored underground.. here is the sugestion..hehe

About the lynx I recreate with the scale base of the real one draw.. the old one was short, but the update is correct..
Here is the result..

About the Updates in the weapons I let it here if you like it..

I think only is missing the 100mm gun update, where I can find it.. do you know?

Looking for opinions..

Have Fun..

uhm.... that radar was NOT too big. that drawing were based on official sizes of the real system.
the phalanx has an good block 1B drawing.... but it was not included here. I lack time now, but you can find it on the USN sheet in the parts sheet discussion thread.

A couple of notes - you use the standardized parts even if they don't quite look right - sometimes that is an indicator that you have the wrong part. Also, when you did your colorful version, there are some obvious glitches - most notably the liferafts and the underwater hull shading.

The Antena has 4,4m wide, 3,9m High and 6.5 depth.
In the scale of shipbucket is 2pixel to 1 foot / 1 Pixel to 0,1515m
So the antena should be 26px high, and the picture you sugest has 31px high.. that was the main reason why I said that..

I think I didn't any mistake..
