Time for a little bit of gravedigging:
When coming up with the 1944 version, an article said that later in the war, the light AA armament had been reconfigured, but also pointed out that there were conflicting sources and there was no photographic evidence, so I worked with what I could confirm.
Of course, a few days after the upload session, I stumble upon a follow-up article, which
includes photos...
So, I went back and corrected the wartime-versions of
Emden:
The 1941 version is pretty much unchanged, except the location of the degaussing cable and some details have been corrected.
The 1942 version now carries the correct version of the radar and the radar arm as well.
By 1944, the camo has been disregarded and it was back to peacetime grey and a lot more rafts were added. The aft pair of 150mm cannons were removed and the old, WW1-era heavy flaks had been replaced by 105mm SK L/45 C/32 g.E., dual purpose guns. The 20mm quads moved up a level and the place was taken by 37mm singles in u-boat mounts. Addtionally, two 40mm Flak Bofor 28 were added at the height of the bridge.
The first post will be updated over the next few days.
