Odd choice of directors aft--surely, STIR 180s would be more effective than those old things.

STIR 180's are about just as old as the Mk 95's, and they are both updated just as much over the years. the only reason I see for STIR's would be to have one forward and one aft, doing both NSSM and gun control.
also, I would suggest putting the Mod 0 Mk 48 back to back instead of next to each other (like the halifax has) that will ease up reloading and maintenance a lot!

Considering that all the rest of the modern electronics gear I use is USN, why would I "break canon" and use Dutch gear for this one ship? That is what would be odd, to me.

Well considering that for instance the Mk.92 uses a variation of Dutch built equipment its hardly odd.

Perhaps, but it is still not enough of a reason for me to shift horses in the middle of the ocean.

I am thinking that SPG-60 could guide NSSM as well. not certain though, as it is never done IRL, but the design of the dutch STIR was closely related to it originally.

yes, it was. And I do like the looks of it, but if I change it on the Regal then I'd most likely have to change it on the Intrepid as well. Although, one change to the Intrepid I believe I may make is to move the 2nd director from the midships mast to the reload shack on the hanger like the Regal has. I have to admit to those of you who had been urging me to do so, it does look better.
