The following ship is a C2 S B1 type vessel built by the MARAD during WW2. In 1946 the Ward line as part of AGWIlines was considering converting five C2 hull into combination cargo and passengers ships for their New York and Havana service
see here,, but eventually the five ships were slightly modified to carry 12 passengers only. In 1954 the Ward Lines was sold to T & J Stevenson (as part of AGWIlines) and he continued the service with Norwegian flagged ships till 1959 when the service ended.
