As for the class reference, yes, I've seen yours as many times as mine; sometimes, though not often as an independent classifier, also "modified Clevelands".

Updated the drawing with Tim's re-colored Stars 'n' Stripes and lifted the Mk37/up so it's above the Mk34 FCS on top of the bridge house. I overlooked that earlier!

Bezzo my dear friend, my post was, not to name the ship class one way or other, but,apart from congratulate you on the new drawings, also to point out the enormity of the task you have taken upon yourself. In fact there are at least four drawings to make for ships as comissioned, not counting mid life refits and other refits.

Guys we didn't need a recolored US flag. The original one uses the standard MSPaint palette colors to make drawing easier and looked just fine.

Also please note that the CLG in the archive is incorrect (having used the old Cleveland drawing as a base) and probably needs to be totally redrawn (not just copied onto the new hull I drew). Unfortunately I can't comment any more than that as DarthPanda is the artist, my name only being on the credits because I drew the original Cleveland. As a side note, I don't need to be credited on this drawing as it is vastly different than the Clevelands.

Haha...I know, my friend! I like challenges! And I never perceived your comment as anything but friendly and further enlightening!

But, yes, I have in mind doing all six individual ships. This is one of my favorite cruiser-classes ever; in fact the one class that, kinda prompted me to be a "cruiser-man" instead of, say a battleship supporter or destroyer guy or submariner! And that was years, nay eons ago!

But, let's see if I'm up for the task! Bets are received...

Actually, colo, I've checked and re-checked. DP has done a very thorough job of putting the pieces in place, that's why I elected not to wholly redraw it, since, like PB would say, there's no need for it. I happen to agree there. As for your credit, well, I can remove it, if you like me to. It doesn't in the least bother me, and as you've noticed, I've not put my name on it (partly because no one has told me yet whether I ought to or not!) But, Colo, with your permission, I will use your Clevelands more extensively for the non-flag configured ships (Galveston, Topeka) Do you mind that?

Ant thanx for the updated gear. It will be replaced.

If you've checked it, then great -- I just never had the chance and figured that since the original was so bad that his drawing might have been scaled wrongly etc.

As I said earlier, I don't really care if my name is on this ship or not... I really had no hand in drawing it so it wouldn't make sense anyway.

As always, you are free to use anything I (or any of us) make for your drawings. I'd rather you used the updated (and properly scaled) Clevelands than the old ones.

Yes, thank you a lot. I will. As a matter of fact, I did spend a whole deal of time comparing, measuring etc. The one glaring thing was the underwater hull. Once I replaced that and adjusted the stem and stern, the pieces fell into place. As for the superstructure, it is fine. There were a few minor errors, but they're cured now, and the boats are added.
