Something modern this time.

The Willemoes class corvette. In a way it's a less extreme Visby

Well, it's about time I got back to this project.

A series of reconnaissance drones based on the Meggit BTT-3 Banshee target drone.

[ img ]
The BTT-3s big brother. Comes in two versions, the recon drone seen above and a target tug. It's too expensive to be used as a target itself.

Wow, has it really been that long since I posted here?
Anyways, moving back in time to the year 1900, I give you the Heimdal Class cruiser. (It's obviously a WIP)

I had a SpringSharp report but apparently I bungled up when I saved it, but it did say that everything worked out as it should.

6in Mains, 57mm secondaries (Plenty for dealing with contemporary torpedoboats) backed up with .45 MGs

Sounds like a sensible balance, better than many of the real cruisers of the period which had 6in, 5in and 4in guns all on the same hull in some cases.

It looks awesome. What I'd do is to finish one "as build" version with those short funnels, but also have a later version (say 1907/08?) with heightened funnels, and, perhaps more extensive bridge work. If you like you can use my boat sheet; in fact, I may have a few that I haven't posted, that you may be interested in. Just let me know.
