There were plans to refurbish more of the old cruisers to the same standard as the Delhi, but the entry of the USA into WWII prevented that. Also, IIRC, the Delhi enjoyed fore and aft directors for her 5-in guns.

There was never a Dido class cruiser with US 5" guns. The only Royal Navy to be so armed was HMS Delhi, and she had only 5 single 5"/38 guns.

thats what i meant i wasnt going to go through all my notes to find it tho.
