Nighthunter, I love that Firefox, reminds me of some of the early MiG-23 studies and some of the MiG-21 never-built proposals for ground-attack versions.

Got curious as to what a bubbletop F6F Hellcat would look like, so I used DP's F8F's canopy and with a little reworking came up with this:

I always wondered too. Looks nice, but maybe a fin fillet(?) like the P-47 and P-51 had??

Yeah I cant help but feel it would need either a fin fillet, larger fin or ventral fin to compensate for the cut down rear fuselage decking. Without that longitudinal stability will suffer unless area is increased (later Spitfire models with the bubble top are a perfect example of this).

Very nice looking plane though still.
