Well here is an entry I quickly came up with. Don't know much about submarines after WW2 so no idea if it would actually work.

It's primarily intended to be a smaller Collins Class. AIP could be possible though I'm not sure if it could fit. Armament is as per the Collins except with 4 tubes instead of 6 though the precise number of weapons able to be carried I'm not sure. Sensors again are primarily carried over as is equipment fit however I decided with conventional control surfaces aft and a hull design inspired by the Kilo class. Range would obviously be less than the Collins but it could be a good coastal and seagoing boat still.

It is named after the HMAS Otama which to this day still remains rusting at her moorings at Crib Point until the Hastings council decides what to do with her (after having deferred three attempts to make her an exhibit on land). She's the only submarine I've seen up close.

Very nice sub Denodon. In fact, most of the designs I'm seeing in this challenge are very good. This is becoming a great challenge.

I was just discussing AIP systems with Obsydian Shade the other day. Depending on the particular AIP you go with, you probably wouldn't have much trouble fitting them in a sub that will meet the specifications of this challenge. For instance, the Singaporean Archer-class subs were launched as the Swedish Vastergotland-class. Originally, they were 48 meters long, but later had a 12 meter hull section put in that included a Kochums Stirling AIP, which lengthened the hull to total of 60.5 meters, which is still within the limits of this challenge. If you design a sub from the outset to have an AIP it could probably be made even shorter. The Stirling AIP itself is no bigger than say a medium diesel genset and then it requires several bottles of compressed helium, nitrogen, and oxygen, which could be placed outside the pressure hull of the sub. I don't know how large the proton exchange membrane (PEM) AIP system used on the German Type 212 is, but it's probably not too much bigger considering the Type 212 is shorter than the Archer-class subs at only 56 meters. Yeah it's a bit stubby looking for my taste as well however I believe the broader hull would allow it to accomadate a decent weapons load as well as the sensor fit it requires without being overly cramped for the crew. the RAN is suffering from a submariner shortage after all.

it reminds me of the Victoria/Upholder class for some reason though there really isnt too much resemblance

Maybe it's the stern? The stern shape I based on the upholder drawing with the Collins class propeller.
My refs were crudely cropped and shrunk drawings from the bucket of the upholder, Collins and kilo drawings as well as a few others.

i'm glad my presentation looks good to you.

But my ssc-Sak is a specific sub that run only directly on diesel.
So you need to add a color for electric engine................ :D

Is it possible that a torpedo tube be loaded by the side and nor by the back?
Otherwise, to me, your torpedo room is to short.
